Work on Sundays and holidays for young workers

The French law allows young workers to work Sundays and holidays only in some occupational fields.

According to the French Labor code, article R 3164-2, young people are allowed to work Sundays and holidays only in the following sectors  :

• hotel ;
• restaurant ;
• caterers ;
• bars, tobacco shop and drinking establishment ;
• bakery ;
• patisserie ;
• butcher ;
• cheese dairy ;
• fish store ;
• florist .

Entertainment  was added to this list in 2008  (decree n°2008-889)
