Frequency rate

Frequency rate ( called in French “taux de fréquence“) is the number of occupational accidents with leave for 1 000 000 worked hours

Method of calculation :

Frequency rate = number of accidents with sick leave X 1 000 000 /number of  worked hours

To calculate the number of  worked hours , you have to multiply  : staff full-time equivalent of the company and the number of working hours made every year by a full-time person.

Frequency index

Frequency index ( called in French “indice de fréquence“) is the number of occupational accidents for 1 000 employees.

To calculate the frequency index, you have to divide the number of accidents with a leave ( work stopped more than one day)  by the number of employees and then you multiply by , 1 000

Fréquency index = number of accidents with leave  x 1 000 / number of employees
