According to the French Social security code article L341-1<\/span><\/a>, when a worker has lost two-thirds of his workforce, because of an illness, he is entitled to a disability pension.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

<\/a> Only in case of an ordinary disease<\/h3>\n

An insured person which has lost\u00a0two-thirds of his workforce\u00a0is entitled to a disability pension only in case of an ordinary disease.
\nIt is not possible in case of an occupational disease<\/a> or an occupational accident<\/a>.
\nIn case of an occupational disease or occupational accident, the worker is entitled to receive a compensation as partial permanent disability <\/a>pension<\/p>\n

<\/a> Medical officer \u00a0of Social security awards or not a disability pension<\/h3>\n

After a long period of sick leave ( in France a sick leave\u00a0shall not exceed a total of three years), the medical officer may award a disability pension.<\/p>\n

However, a\u00a0patient or his attending physician may request a disability pension to the medical officer of Social security.<\/p>\n

Relating to the health status of the person, the medical officer of Social security decides which category is necessary.<\/p>\n
