Until year2012, at least every 12 months, each employee undergo a medical examination with the occupational physician when he has a strenghtened medical supervision, now the medical examinations may be less common.<!--more--><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Strengthened medical supervision for some issues<\/h3>\n<p>According to the French labor code, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/affichCodeArticle.do;jsessionid=2582421614E158E508B3E317EC096D56.tpdjo03v_2?idArticle=LEGIARTI000025279636&amp;cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006072050&amp;categorieLien=id&amp;dateTexte=20120630\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">article R 4624-18<\/a>, the medical supervision must be strenghtened for :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/particular-situations\/minor-child\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> workers which are underage<\/a> (less than 18)<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/particular-situations\/pregnant-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pregnant women<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/particular-situations\/disabled-worker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">disabled workers<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When there is a <strong>strenghtened medical supervision<\/strong>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/medical-examinations\/compulsory-optional-medical-examination\/pre-recruitment-medical-examination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pre-recruitment medical examination<\/a> does take place<strong> before the employee starts working<\/strong> for the enterprise\u00a0and the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/medical-examinations\/compulsory-optional-medical-examination\/visites-medicales-periodiques\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\"> periodical medical checks<\/a> takes place every 12 months or every 24 months : the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/health-work\/occupational-doctor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">occupational doctor<\/a> can decide to change the frequency of the medical examinations in line with recommendations for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/medical-examinations\/differente-medical-supervisions\/strengthened-medical-supervision-exposition-specific-occupational-hazards\/#lien6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">good practices which are available in health at work<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Strenghtened medical supervision is called &#8220;<strong>Surveillance m\u00e9dicale renforc\u00e9e<\/strong>&#8221; in French<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:
