It is to ensure that the employees are physically fit and able to fulfill the contract of employment. <!--more--><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"#lien1\">When takes place the pre-recruitment examination ?<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"#lien2\">Process of the medical examination<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"#lien3\">Objectives of the pre-recruitment medical examination<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"#lien5\">Time spent on the medical examination <\/a><a href=\"#lien6\"><br \/>\n<\/a><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"#lien10\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"bloc-important\">The pre-recruitment medical examination is a compulsory medical examination.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien1\"><\/a>When takes place the pre-recruitment examination ?<\/h3>\n<p>The French labor code, article\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/affichCodeArticle.do;jsessionid=2582421614E158E508B3E317EC096D56.tpdjo03v_2?idArticle=LEGIARTI000025279666&amp;cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006072050&amp;categorieLien=id&amp;dateTexte=20120630\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\"> R 4624-10\u00a0\u00a0 <\/a>states that :<\/p>\n<p>This medical examination concerns every employee, whatever the length of his employment contract . This examination takes place <strong>not later than the end of the trial period<\/strong>. But in case of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/medical-examinations\/differente-medical-supervisions\/strengthened-medical-supervision-exposition-specific-occupational-hazards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">strengthened medical supervision<\/a>, the pre-recruitment medical examination does take place before the employee starts working for the enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien2\"><\/a>Process of the medical examination<\/h3>\n<p>The pre-recruitment medical examination includes :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A questioning to know personal and family medical history, workstations occupied in the past (what risks was the employee exposed to).<\/li>\n<li>A physical examination<\/li>\n<li>Tests such as :<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Eye test<\/li>\n<li>Urinary examinations<\/li>\n<li>Lung function test<\/li>\n<li type=\"_moz\">Hearing test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>The occupational physician can also prescribe other tests according to the occupational risks observed within the company : blood test, urine cytology, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a name=\"lien3\"><\/a>Objectives of the pre-recruitment medical examination<\/h3>\n<p>Labor code, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/affichCodeArticle.do;jsessionid=2582421614E158E508B3E317EC096D56.tpdjo03v_2?idArticle=LEGIARTI000025279664&amp;cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006072050&amp;categorieLien=id&amp;dateTexte=20120630\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">article R 4624-11<\/a>, defines the objectives of this examination :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1\u00b0 to be sure the worker is physically fit to perform the work for which he would be recruited,<br \/>\n2 to propose modifications of the workstation, if it is necessary,<br \/>\n3\u00b0 to know if the employee has a dangerous illness for the other workers,<br \/>\n4\u00b0 to inform the worker about \u00a0risks at the workstation, which health surveillance will be necessary,<br \/>\n5\u00b0 and how he can protect from this hazards.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"bloc-important\">A report is filed by the occupational physician after each medical examination. The doctor has to give his opinion : the employee is fit or unfit to work, a workstation layout is necessary, etc<\/p>\n<p>One copy of this certificate is given to the employer and the other is for the employee. Usually the occupational physician keep a copy too in the <strong>medical record of occupational health.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien5\"><\/a>Time spent on the medical examination<\/h3>\n<p>Time spent on the medical examination and on prescribed tests is taken on working time or is compensated and tranport costs too.<br \/>\n<script async
