The employee shall undergo to this required check-up to know if he can return to work .<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"#lien2\">To plan a reinstatement visit<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"#lien4\">The different reinstatement visits <\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"#lien5\">Fit or unfit to return to work\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>French labor code defines the reinstatement visits :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/affichCodeArticle.do;jsessionid=4ECF310C2F894B51BC8B52F4F23785E6.tpdjo03v_2?idArticle=LEGIARTI000025279626&amp;cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006072050&amp;dateTexte=20120701&amp;categorieLien=id\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">Article R. 4624-22<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/affichCodeArticle.do;jsessionid=4ECF310C2F894B51BC8B52F4F23785E6.tpdjo03v_2?idArticle=LEGIARTI000025279624&amp;cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006072050&amp;dateTexte=20120701&amp;categorieLien=id\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">Article R. 4624-23<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/affichCodeArticle.do;jsessionid=4ECF310C2F894B51BC8B52F4F23785E6.tpdjo03v_2?idArticle=LEGIARTI000025279622&amp;cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006072050&amp;dateTexte=20120701&amp;categorieLien=id\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">Article R. 4624-24<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a name=\"lien2\"><\/a> To plan a reinstatement visit<\/h3>\n<p>The employer has to contact the Occupational health service to book an appointment for this medical visit.<br \/>\nThe medical examination of resumption of work has to take place in 8 days which follow the <strong>work&#8217;s resumption.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This medical examination estimates the capacity or not of the employee to\u00a0 take back his old employment, and if necessary, adaptation of the working conditions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bloc-important\">This medical examination\u00a0 takes place within one week and ends the suspension of the contract of employment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien4\"><\/a> The different reinstatement visits<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>After a sick leave<\/strong> when the employee has stopped to work at least for 30 days<\/li>\n<li>After a period of <strong>maternity leave<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>After an<strong> occupational accident :\u00a0<\/strong>when worker has stopped to work at least for 30 days<\/li>\n<li>after an <strong>occupational disease :\u00a0<\/strong>whatever the length of the sick leave.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"bloc-important\">This medical examination has to take place within the 8 days following the resumption of the work.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien5\"><\/a> Fit or unfit to return to work<\/h3>\n<p>After the <strong>medical examination<\/strong>, the occupational health physician says if the employee is fit or unfit to return to work.<br \/>\nIf the employee is cured, or strengthened without after effect, he takes back his usual workstation.<br \/>\nIn other cases the occupational health doctor proposes a Workstation layout to the employer. If a workstation layout is not possible, the employee will be dismissed for medical unfitness.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bloc-important\">The employer or the employee may contest the opinion delivered by the occupational physician : he has the right to an administrative appeal with the labour inspector.<\/p>\n<p><script async
