The employee has to consult a doctor if he has been victim to an occupational accident. The physician has to fill in an\u00a0 initial medical certificate .<\/p>\n

Obligations for the attending physician<\/a><\/p>\n

An accident at work<\/strong> is a fortuitous event causing bodily harm that is usually easily observable. It is also something that has happened at a specific time<\/strong> and a known place.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/a>Obligations for the attending physician<\/h3>\n

The practitioner has to :<\/p>\n

    \n
  • issue an initial medical certificate <\/strong>which indicates nature and location of the damages, etc<\/li>\n
  • \u00a0make out and gives to the victim a medical certificate<\/strong> in quadruplicate, one copy of which contains no information concerning the disease and is to be given to the employer.<\/li>\n
  • indicate\u00a0nature and location of the damages<\/strong>,\u00a0the duration of cares,<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • issue a sick leave<\/strong> if work stoppage is necessary,<\/li>\n
  • issue a descriptive final certificate<\/strong> at the end of the sick leave, and\/or the care,
    \nthis medical certificate that states the victim has been cured or his condition stabilized and what the final consequences<\/strong> are must also be made out in quadruplicate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
