It is also something that has happened at a specific time and a known place.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien2\"><\/a>Formalities for the employee<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The victim has to :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>informe his employer within 24 hours ( place of the accident, witness to the accident, etc),<\/li>\n<li>obtain from his employer the &#8220;work accident&#8221; form ( called in French &#8220;formulaire accident du travail&#8221;) , \u00a0so that, care are free of charge,<\/li>\n<li>consult a practitioner who needs to fill out an <strong>initial medical certificate<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>transmit to his employer the certificate of sick leave, in case of sick leave.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The victim may <\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>consult the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/health-work\/occupational-doctor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">occupational physician<\/a>, during the work stoppage, if a<strong> workstation layout<\/strong> \u00a0seems to be necessary : it is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/medical-examinations\/compulsory-optional-medical-examination\/optional-medical-examinations\/#lien1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pre-reinstatement visit<\/a> ( called<a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/visites-medicales\/visites-medicales-obligatoires-facultatives\/visites-medicales-facultatives-sante-travail\/#lien1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> in French &#8220;Visite de pr\u00e9 reprise&#8221;<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"bloc-important\">The occupational accident must be declared within 48 hours, but the victim has 2 years to effect that
