Skin protection creams and gloves\u00a0\u00a0need to be appropriate to\u00a0handled products.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Protective Gloves<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There is a wide variety of protective gloves :\u00a0latex<\/strong>, \u00a0vinyl<\/strong>, or\u00a0nitrile<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cotton gloves, \u00a0PVC gloves, cut-resistant gloves, heat\u00a0resistant\u00a0gloves,\u00a0gloves that protect against cold, heavy work glove, household gloves, \u00a0\u00a0gants de m\u00e9nage, anti-vibration gloves, etc<\/p>\n

The occupational physician advises the employer and the employees, which glove is appropriated.<\/p>\n

Latex allergy is very common :\u00a0<\/strong>
\nit is caused by the powder\u00a0located on the inside of the gloves \u00a0and the\u00a0high content of allergenic proteins in some gloves.<\/p>\n

Powdered gloves\u00a0should be replaced by non powdered gloves<\/p>\n

Size of the gloves must be adapted to the hands of the users. The employer must not buy only one size for all the workers.<\/p>\n

Skin protection creams\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Some skin protection creams<\/strong> must be used before work<\/strong>\u00a0whilst others \u00a0must be used after work<\/strong> : before work, it is to protect the skin and after work it is to help to repair the cutaneous barrier \u00a0and moisturize.<\/p>\n

And we must no forget the\u00a0sunscreens for the face for outdoor workers to protect them\u00a0from harmful effects\u00a0of the sun’s damaging UV rays, including skin cancer.
