Comit\u00e9 d\u2019hygi\u00e8ne, de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et des conditions de travail)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The occupational physcian advises on these issues \u00a0:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the improvement of <strong>living and working conditions<\/strong> in the firm,<\/li>\n<li>adaptating the work places, work techniques and organisations, such as the working time to the\u00a0physiology of the human body,<\/li>\n<li>protecting workers against <strong>risk<\/strong>s, such as accident risks in the workplace,\u00a0use of <strong>dangerous products<\/strong>, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"bloc-important\">The occupational physician \u00a0has to prevent of any\u00a0deterioration the physical and mental health of workers.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The role of the occupational physician according to the French Labour Code : <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/affichCodeArticle.do?idArticle=LEGIARTI000006903371&amp;cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006072050&amp;dateTexte=20140504&amp;oldAction=rechCodeArticle&amp;fastReqId=1074780345&amp;nbResultRech=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">article L. 4624-1<\/a>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien2\"><\/a>Carrying out the check-up<\/h3>\n<p>The occupational doctor provides <strong>compulsory medical examinations<\/strong>\u00a0 for the employees of one or several firms :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>pre-recruitment medical examinations,<\/li>\n<li>periodical medical checks,<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>reinstatement visits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Optional <strong>medical examinations<\/strong>\u00a0:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>pre-reinstatement visits,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>spontaneous medical examination at the <strong>employer\u2019s request,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>spontaneous medical examination at the <strong>employee&#8217;s request.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a name=\"lien3\"><\/a>Actions on the work place<\/h3>\n<p>For a <strong>third of his working time,<\/strong> the occupational physician carries out<strong> actions on the work places<\/strong> : alone or with a member of the<strong> multidisciplinary team<\/strong> composed of members from different profession very knowledgeable about \u00a0health and safety at work. The objectives of these actions\u00a0\u00a0are<strong> improvement of living and working conditions<\/strong> in the firm and\u00a0<strong>adaptating the work places<\/strong>, work techniques and <strong>organisations<\/strong>\u00a0to the worker ( according to French Labour Code\u00a0Article<a href=\"http:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/affichCodeArticle.do?idArticle=LEGIARTI000025279710&amp;cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006072050&amp;dateTexte=20140504&amp;oldAction=rechCodeArticle&amp;fastReqId=1623346111&amp;nbResultRech=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\"> R. 4624-1<\/a> to\u00a0Article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/affichCodeArticle.do?idArticle=LEGIARTI000025279676&amp;cidTexte=LEGITEXT000006072050&amp;dateTexte=20140504&amp;oldAction=rechCodeArticle&amp;fastReqId=1205659657&amp;nbResultRech=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">R. 4624-9<\/a>).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit of companies.<\/li>\n<li>Study on working conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Inventory of products which are manipulated in the firm.<\/li>\n<li>Ambient noise measurements, light intensity measurements, etc<\/li>\n<li>Measurement of dust emissions at the work places, etc<\/li>\n<li>Ergonomic studies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a name=\"lien4\"><\/a>Review of safety data sheets<\/h3>\n<p>The occupational health physician examines the<strong> safety data sheets of the products<\/strong> which are manipulated in the compagny so as to provide the right follow-up of the employees \u00a0: the medical examination will not be the same if the worker is exposed to metallic lead or to benzene, for example.<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien5\"><\/a>Taking part in the four annual meetings of CHSCT<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The Health, safety and working conditions Committee<\/strong>, (in french\u00a0: CHSCT,\u00a0\u00a0Comit\u00e9 d\u2019Hygi\u00e8ne, de S\u00e9curit\u00e9 et des Conditions de Travail<strong>)<\/strong>, is compulsory in any enterprise employing more than<strong> 50 employees.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/employer-obligations\/health-safety-working-conditions-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Health, safety and working conditions\u00a0Committee<\/a> brings together\u00a0managers and workers to discuss about<strong> health and safety at work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bloc-important\">The occupational doctor is\u00a0an ex officio member and\u00a0\u00a0has\u00a0an advisory capacity, \u00a0in the Health, safety and working conditions Committee<\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien6\"><\/a>Writing of the &#8220;fiche d\u2019entreprise&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>The<strong>\u00a0&#8220;fiche d\u2019entrepris<\/strong>e&#8221; is a document written by the occupational physician for all the companies,\u00a0<strong>no matter its number of employees<\/strong> . It must be updated on a regular basis.<br \/>\nThe &#8220;fiche d&#8217;entrerprise&#8221; <strong>identifies the occupational risks in the company,<\/strong> how many employees are exposed to each of the risks . For the chemical risks, the doctor needs the<strong>\u00a0safety data sheets<\/strong> of the products which are manipulated in the company. The employer has to asked to his\u00a0supplier of chemical products to give him the safety data sheets and then the employer give them to the occupational physician.<br \/>\nThe &#8220;Fiche d&#8217;entreprise&#8221; plans the prevention and measures useful for the company and its employees.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"bloc-important\">The labour doctor gives the &#8220;Fiche d&#8217;entreprise&#8221; to the employer who must keep it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The informations given in this file are available to the :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>labour inspector,<\/li>\n<li>labour doctor inspector,<\/li>\n<li>prevention services of the regional health insurance service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The employer presents the &#8220;Fiche d&#8217;entreprise&#8221; to the the<strong> Health, safety and working conditions Committeee\u00a0<\/strong>as the same time he presents the annual report of the company.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><a name=\"lien8\"><\/a>Writing of the annual activity report<\/h3>\n<p>Every year the occupational physician produces an<strong> annual activity report<\/strong> : he writes how many medical examinations he as done during the year, how many redeployments to other work places, how many &#8220;Fiches d&#8217;entreprise&#8221; were done, participation in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atousante.com\/en\/employer-obligations\/health-safety-working-conditions-committee\/rmeetings-health-safety-working-conditions-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">meetings of Health, safety and working conditions Committee<\/a>, etc<\/p>\n<p>The doctor forwards his report to the Regional Directorate of Labour.<br \/>\n<script async
